Heckelphone #4980

According to Edith Reiter's 2014 book this instrument was completed on 1 November 1981; it was then acquired by the Staatsorchester Stuttgart, Germany, which still owns it as of 2024. From its initial purchase up to 2013, it was played by Rainer Otto, and since 2013, it is being played regularly by Katrin Stüble.

Heckelphone #4980 is a model 36 voll cons with a relatively rarely seen black finish.
