According to Edith Reiter's 2014 book this instrument was completed on 25 October 1990. It is a model 36 voll cons; a thumb plate and second octave key have been added in early 2022 by UK-based oboe maker, Yanko Petrov.
As of April 2022, was located in London, UK, owned by oboist Adrian Rowlands, who acquired it in February 2022 from John Orford. The latter purchased the instrument directly from Heckel and played it regularly with many British orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as for opera productions at Covent Garden and the English National Opera.
